Somehow it's snowing this morning, two days before Thanksgiving. I think it snowed on Thanksgiving Day last year. Today's pictures are included.

My folks are up here visiting from Dallas. There are several concurrent projects in progress. We've been working on the yard since Friday. Lots of leaves here in New England. LOTS of leaves. My neighbor Bob helped me fix my fence, as the segment with the gate pretty much fell over. We dug up two posts and rebuilt the foundation. I headed over to Home Depot for concrete, two 9 foot fence posts, decorative tops, drill bits, adaptors etc. We measured, drilled, poured concrete and everything. The gate works great I must say, better than it's ever worked. It's nice to be the handyman around the house.

Thanksgiving is coming. Our famous Broadway relative Katie C. will be joining Kayla, Mom, Dad, and me. She's currently starring as Glinda the good witch in the Wicked traveling show, which we'll hopefully be seeing tomorrow. I'm looking forward to that.

Instead of studying for the United States Medical Licensing Exam Step III (which I'm taking in eight days), I'm sitting on the sofa with my friendly rottweiler Miss Texas, typing on this here blog, listening to my iPod. I am ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certified. This means that I technically know how to use the shock paddles and administer life saving drugs should the need arise. Don't believe everything that you read though.

The fall colors up here in New England are beautiful. I'm simply amazed at the beauty. This of course, will be closely followed by extreme depression and despair. Soon all of the trees will be barren, we will be covered in perpetual clouds, and the temperature will hover in the 30's and 40's. Yipppeeee!

Shout out to Crew Chief Rob Flynn and Driver Hot Rod Fuller of David Powers Motorsports (they race dragsters in the National Hot Rod Association). The season ended Sunday in Pomona, CA with Hot Rod Fuller missing the national championship by a fingernail. Hated rival Tony Schumacher won for the fourth straight year in the final race. Outstanding season guys...hold your heads high. The CAT car will be a force to reckon with next season. Congrats!

If you don't know what professional dragracing is, I highly suggest you check it out. It can be seen weekly on Saturdays and Sundays on ESPN2 and ESPN2HD during the season...which just ended. Just sitting in the stands watching is probably one of the biggest adrenaline rushes you'll ever have. Imagine a car with 8,000 horsepower that goes from 0 to 100 MPH in less than a second. Then imagine your body shaking as the thing zooms past you at around 330 miles per hour. Pretty sweet.
